Dear Friend,Our Bar Association has always been more than a professional organization. It is a community that shapes the way we practice, grow, and serve. I am running for OCBA Secretary because I believe we can do even more to ensure every attorney in Orange County feels they belong.
I have practiced law in Orange County for over 35 years. My legal career began in Johannesburg, South Africa, where I was "called to the Bar" and then served as a criminal prosecutor before immigrating to the United States in 1991. From the start I have viewed the practice of law as a calling, carrying with it a responsibility to give back. As a founding principal of Bremer Whyte Brown & O'Meara, I helped build a firm rooted in collaboration, mentorship, and service-the same values I want to bring to OCBA's leadership. My commitment to our Bar Association is deeply personal. Over the past three years on the OCBA Board of Directors, and through more than a decade of service across committees and sections-the Masters Division, the Law School Liaison Committee, the Charitable Fund-I have seen firsthand how OCBA lifts our profession. Beyond the bar, I have given 15 years to the Sheila Sonenshine Pro Bono Committee, 10 years to the Public Law Center Board including as its President in 2023, and 14 years as Secretary of the Banyard Inn of Court, and I co-founded Women for Justice. I would be honored to earn your vote. Warmly, |

I endorse Nicole Whyte for Orange County Bar Association Secretary. Our beloved OCBA is blessed that she is willing to serve it as an officer. While being a name partner in a great law firm, Nicole has demonstrated her commitment to work for our community outside her Firm, as revealed by a quick glance at her bio. Perhaps most impressive to me is her work for the less fortunate, including serving over a decade on the Board of the Public Law Center. She is very familiar with the OCBA in part from serving many years on its Board. And those like me lucky enough to spend time with Nicole know that she is a delightful person.
I have known Nicole for many years. She is an exceptional mother, person, attorney and leader in her firm, and is one of the few attorneys I have met over the decades that has the rare combination of both desire and ability to manage issues for the Orange County Bar and its many charitable and professional causes. She will make an outstanding Secretary for our Bar association and has my full endorsement.
Nicole is an outstanding choice for Secretary of the Orange County Bar Association. I have known her for decades and can think of no one more responsible, intelligent, dedicated, and committed to serving our profession. She has my strongest endorsement.
