Making an Impact.

Service has always been an important part of my life. Throughout my career, I have believed that being a lawyer is about more than practicing law. It is about giving back to our profession, supporting our community, and helping create opportunities for others.

Over the years, I have been fortunate to serve on the boards of legal, educational, and charitable organizations. I have had the privilege of supporting access to justice, mentoring lawyers, speaking at educational programs, helping raise funds for important causes, and working alongside so many dedicated people who care deeply about our community.

These photographs capture moments of service along that journey. They reflect the organizations, colleagues, and causes that have meant so much to me and the many people who have inspired me along the way.

The Orange County legal community has given me so much throughout my career. I have never forgotten the people who welcomed me, mentored me, and opened doors for me when I was starting over in a new country. Giving back has always been my way of saying thank you.

I hope these moments reflect a lifelong commitment to service and my belief that, together, we can continue to strengthen both our profession and the community we serve.

Personal Anecdote.

Some of the best decisions I have ever made involved becoming a beginner again.

Growing up, I had no musical training. In my 40s, I began learning to play the piano and spent years developing that skill. In my 50s, I took up karate and trained for six years to earn my black belt. Sixteen months ago, I stepped onto a ballroom dance floor for the first time and began training with a professional instructor to compete.

Each of those experiences reminded me that growth only happens when we are willing to be uncomfortable, to learn, and to start again. I believe that is true in law, in leadership, and in life.
